{"ActName":"PRESERVATION OF OBJECTS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND PALAEONTOLOGICAL INTEREST ACT 1940","FootNoteRels":[],"IsFirstSection":"false","act_description":"<p><span id=\"17\">AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE PRESERVATION OF OBJECTS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND PALAEONTOLOGICAL INTEREST</span></p>","act_last_updated":"01 August 2020","section_html":"<section class=\"section\" title=\"[POAP 17] s 17 Offences\"><div class=\"title\"><h3 class=\"sectiontitle\"><span class=\"edpnum\"><span class=\"hidden\" data-refpt_id=\"LOF.CAP264.PIAFJ40.S17\" daya-type=\"ext\"> </span><span id=\"309\">[POAP 17]\u2003</span></span><span id=\"310\">Offences</span><span class=\"designum\"><span id=\"311\">17\u2003</span></span></h3></div><span class=\"p-sea-fix\"><span id=\"312\">Save as is provided in this Act, any person who destroys, removes, injures, alters, defaces or imperils a monument, or any object of archaeological or palaeontological interest, and any owner or occupier who contravenes an order made under </span><span id=\"313\"></span><a class=\"external\"><span id=\"314\">section 10(1)</span></a><span id=\"315\"></span><span id=\"316\">, and any person who contravenes any of the terms and conditions imposed in a permit granted under this Act, and any person who contravenes any of the provisions of </span><span id=\"317\"></span><a class=\"external\"><span id=\"318\">section 3(1)</span></a><span id=\"319\"></span><span id=\"320\"> or </span><span id=\"321\"></span><a class=\"external\"><span id=\"322\">(3)</span></a><span id=\"323\"></span><span id=\"324\">, or </span><span id=\"325\"></span><a class=\"external\"><span id=\"326\">section 19(1)</span></a><span id=\"327\"></span><span id=\"328\">, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of $200 to imprisonment for 6 months or to both such fine and imprisonment.</span></span><div class=\"histnote\"><p><span id=\"329\">[s 17 am Ordinance 2 of 1945 s 124, opn 1 May 1945]</span></p></div></section><div class=\"hiddendiv\" data-value=\"LOF_LOF.VOL13.SGM_LOF.CAP264.PIAFJ40.S18\"></div>"}
