[LAT 13,385]\u2003 Lane lines

(1)\u2003 If the surface of a carriageway is divided into traffic lanes by lines delineated, the driver of a vehicle must drive the vehicle as nearly as practicable entirely within one traffic lane and must not move laterally from that traffic lane until the movement can be made safely and subject to regulation 37 .
(2)\u2003 Notwithstanding regulation 14 and 15 , if a traffic lane is allocated exclusively for the use of traffic making or intending to make a particular movement or movements by means of a sign or signal alongside or over the lane in accordance with regulation 75(8) or any marking on the surface of the carriageways the driver\u2014
(3)\u2003 Where the light signal No 2(b)(ii) specified in Part 4 of the Schedule is displayed on or over a traffic lane, a driver must not proceed in that lane but must, subject to other provisions of these Regulations, enter a lane over which the light signal No 2(b)(i), specified in Part 4 of the Schedule, is displayed.
