(1) A Plan shall be approved by the Chief Executive Officer before a commercial boating operation begins.

(2) Before approving a Plan, the Chief Executive Officer shall be satisfied that the—

(a)Plan complies with these Regulations; and
(b)result of any inspection or audit of the commercial boating operation to which the Plan relates are satisfactory.

(3) If the Chief Executive Officer considers that the Plan should not be approved, he or she shall—

(a)notify the commercial boating operator, in writing, the reasons for declining the Plan; and
(b)specify the time within which the commercial boating operators shall re-submit the Plan.

(4) The Chief Executive Officer shall require—

(a)any additional information that he or she considers necessary to support the approval of the Plan; and
(b)the commercial boating operator to make such amendments to the Plan as he or she considers necessary in the interests of safety.
