(2) No officer serving abroad is eligible for the President's permission to accept and wear decorations or medals awarded by other States or governments, except where these are conferred for services in saving or attempting to save lives.
(3) Where the bestowal of a decoration on an officer is contemplated, notice must be first given to the Fijian Government before any final decision to confer it is made.
(4) If the permission to accept the decoration is not likely to be granted, the local authority concerned must be advised accordingly.
